The “best manager in the world” wants a work of the UTD man

During the latest edition of The Wayne Rooney Show, Wayne Rooney said: “I don’t see anything that gives me confidence, there must be big changes in my opinion.”
Manchester United estimated that they had obtained a coup when they distance Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon halfway from the 2024/25 campaign. The Portuguese tactician flew high in his homeland and had been strongly linked to Liverpool before appointing Arne Slot as successor to Jurgen Klopp.
But Amorim trained in his months in the hot seat of Old Trafford, United in 14th place in the Premier League after six games, after finishing the 15th term after losing the Europa League final in Tottenham Hotspur.
Amorim fell under a strong flak for his rigid belief in his 3-4-3 formation, willing to die on this hill despite general weariness on his ineffectiveness in the English game.
Ineos hesitates to reject the 40 -year -old player of his duties and hope that United put a great performance at home against Sunderland on Saturday, but if they do not succeed, a difficult decision will have to be made, Sir Gareth Southgate emerging as a candidate for management places at the theater of dreams.
Man United Consider appointing Southgate
One thing is certainly, the potential appointment of Southgate by Man United would come together more than a measure of doubt.
The former boss of Three Lions could have achieved more success than any other male boss in England since the World Cup was lifted in 1966, but he was also out of club management since he was relegated to the Premier League with Middlesbrough in 2009.
But he had come cheap, and with a reputation for being a solid communicator and an “incredible” character, as Jude Bellingham said during the resignation of the manager of his post in England after the European Championship 2024.
But the concerns concerning his tactical taking have persisted throughout his mandate, and the current question mark on the own Amorim system points to a necessity for a clear and common football brand in the future.
Ineos must appoint a victorious manager of the trophy proven with an in -depth understanding of the game and a vision that suggests that this point of view could be applied effectively in the Premier League.
In this case, the former boss of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, is on the market, and he even shows an interest in moving to the Premier League and joining the Red Devils, if Amorim was rejected.
Man United could hit gold with Xavi
Xavi has been without work since the beginning of 2024, when he left Barcelona. The legendary football character is however open to new works, and Fabrizio Romano thinks he is interested in taking the work of Manchester United, if a vacancy is materialized.
Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that Xavi was ready to take the job at Old Trafford even without the attraction of European football. It should be noted the mentality exposed here, Amorim having wanted to stay with Sporting Lisbon for the duration of the 2024/25 campaign, instead of changing allegiances in mid-season.
As a player, the emblematic Spanish was really the final maestro of the midfielder, and he returned his managerial career in shape thanks to the application of his own virtues-day.
His time as a manager of Barcelona was somewhat turbulent, but he won the La Liga title in 2022/23, his first full season as a boss, and played an important role in the guidance of Spanish giants far from the pit in which they sank. In February 2024, he left isolated and frustrated, but with his head high.
If Man United can provide him with the assurances that he can have things in his way, there is no reason why his learned football brain. Already, the 45 -year -old man is in love with the idea, having said in the past that he “would like to work in the Premier League”.
Perhaps therefore, the words of the horse’s mouth give credibility to the claim of Romano. With amorim skating on thin ice, it seems that United could obtain a significant upgrade, in particular with Xavi using a more conventional 4-3-3 training.
That said, Xavi’s management prospects can be conventional at the surface level, but there is a depth and a mastery of the technical side of the game which could be exactly what United needs when they seek to return to the top.
Barcelona is a team defined by their death, and Xavi, as a player and as a manager, was an incarnation of this style.

When the Blaugrana lifted the title of the league under the wing of the legendary figure in 2022/23, they played with enthusiasm and command which was so “Barcelona”.
It was so impressive that, before the trophy was even lifted and with everything in the scale, the club president, Joan Laporta, said: “We have the best manager in the world”.
Here is a tactician who knows his belongings, with higher level skills titles and hunger to join Man United and do things correctly.
Amorim had a good thing before taking the united work, of course, but it is clear that he is a young coach whose experience was limited to the Portuguese scene, and his darkness to keep his same tactical vision despite the blatant gaps that had made a sincere vision.
If the opportunity to name Xavi arises, United Manager must jump.
