The best edtech societies of the world of methodology 2025

FOr the second time, time has awarded the best Edtech companies in the world 2025, in partnership with Statista, an international international data and consumption ranking supplier. The result of this quantitative study: 350 companies dedicated to the development and supply of educational technologies, encompassing both products and services. Here’s how the winners were selected.

Methodology

The “Top Edtech Companies 2025 research” research project is a complete analysis carried out to identify the most efficient Edtech companies in the United States. Firstly, companies had to focus on developing and providing technologies, products or educational services. The 350 companies with the highest score have been awarded as “best Edtech companies in the world 2025”.

The classification is built on two pillars: financial force and the impact of industry. Statista has gathered and examined data of more than 7,000 companies through office research, online application forms and collaborations with other market and market intelligence companies. A company received scores in each of these dimensions, which were then combined in a global score.

For the first dimension, the financial force, Statita analyzed data on income, employees and financing, obtained from sources accessible to the public such as annual reports, company websites, through media monitoring and via databases. In addition, the company’s disclosure submitted via an online request form, which was freely accessible via the Time website, was envisaged.

For the assessment of the impact of the industry, Statista has cooperated with the solutions of intellectual property Holoniq and Lexisnexis® to assess companies in different impact dimensions, encompassing factors such as:

• Quality and impact of their product / services portfolio
• Quantity and value of the IP (intellectual property) portfolio of a company

In addition, Statita has looked for various measures on web traffic, in order to assess the relevance of products and services to the respective target groups.

The evaluation process consisted in assessing all the companies concerned in the World Sector of EDTECH which presented performance above the average on financial measures in their geographic region. Subsequently, the selection was reduced to include only companies that have not only excelled financially, but also demonstrated a significant impact in the industry in their specific categories. This selection process allowed us to establish our final classification of the best Edtech companies in the world 2025. Once the data has been collected and evaluated, it has been consolidated and weighted in a rating model. The final score was calculated as follows: 70% x financial strength score + impact score x 30% x. Companies with the highest score have been allocated as “Best Edtech companies in the world 2025” by Time and Statista.

In addition to the list of the 350 best Edtech, Statista and Time companies also publish an “upwards classification” highlighting companies with the highest income growth rates in the last three years of those who have submitted company data via the online demand process.

Applied criteria:

• company aged 10 and under
• Minimum income of 1 million US dollars in 2022
• income growth rate of more than 20% in the past three years
  

Non-liability clause
The selection of companies and the definition of evaluation criteria were based on journalistic criteria independent of time and statistics. The evaluation was carried out by the statistics and market studies company Statita. Time and statistics do not demand the exhaustiveness of the companies examined.

The classification only includes companies that qualify according to the criteria described in this document. A position in the ranking is a positive recognition based on the search for data sources accessible to the public at the time and the information received via an application process and via collaboration partners.
