The appointment of Rishabh Pant as Vice-Test vice-captain explained: BCCI says “Wicket-Gardeer …”

The Star of the shorer Shubman Gill was sentenced to India tests on Saturday to travel a “massive transition” phase with Rishabh pants in Manche as a deputy for the tour of next month in England which would be nothing less than a fire trial. At 25, Gill will be the fourth youngest attempt in India after Sachin Tendulkar (23), Kapil Dev (24) and Ravi Shastri (25). The five -game series against England will start on June 20 in Leeds. “Last year, we looked at Shubman (for leadership). We hope he is the guy who goes (to advance the team). He is a high pressure work, but he is a great player. We wish him all the best,” said chief selector Ajit Agarkar after announcing the team, who did not offer major surprises.

“Pant is one of our best strikers in test crickets in the past four years. A ticket office may well see the game and that is why he is Shubman’s deputy,” added Agarkar while explaining the role of 27 -year -old pants.

The team’s decision on the team leadership was on the lines expected after retirement from the Senior Stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who both called it less than a week before this month.

The young left -handed B Sai Sudharsan and the rhythm of the left arm Arshdeep Singh obtained their first appeal test.

“Sai was not chosen on the basis of the IPL, he showed the right temperament and has the game to succeed at the highest level … We have been watching him for some time,” said Agarkar, referring to the beautiful IPL form of Sudharsan.

Persistent nair in; unfit

The team also includes Karun Nair, who returns to the national configuration after eight years. Having played for the last time in 2017, Nair was abandoned from the team shortly after having become the second triple century of tests from India.

A notable exclusion was the Mohammed Shami stimulator, which was not considered fairly fit in the long series.

“Her workload is not where she must be. We hoped that he will be available, but it is unfortunate. For the moment, he is not entirely in good shape,” said Agarkar at the press conference.

Since the tour of Australia, Rana Rana and Sarfaraz Khan have been abandoned.

Besides Gill, Bumrah was another solid competitor for the post of captain, but the selectors decided to hand over the responsibility of the 25 -year -old Punjab management.

Gill’s rare talent is indisputable, but he has not yet proven himself in test cricket, especially in the countries of Sena (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia).

“It is a massive transition. Rohit and Virat had been there for a long time,” added Agarkar who was sitting alongside her SS DAS selection group colleague.
