The animated adventures of Tomb Raider of Lara Croft will continue on Netflix in December but there are also bad news

Fans looking for news on the second season of Netflix animation tomb Raider The series should prepare for a mixed update because there are good and bad news.

According to Variety, the second season of the animated adaptation of the video game will arrive on December 11, however, the show will not return for a third season, because season 2 will mark the end of the show.

The animated series Tomb Raider was presented for the first time on October 10, 2024, for a first race of 8 episodes, and was quickly renewed for a second season only two weeks after its beginnings. However, the long gap between season 2 and Lost Momentum may have played a factor in the streamer’s decision of not continuing the show.

Hayley Atwell (Avengers: Endgame, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) provides the voice of the legendary character of emblematic video game, Lara Croft.

Previously, Atwell expressed his enthusiasm about returning to a second season. “I just had an absolute explosion by doing this with this creative team. I loved working with [director Meredith Layne] And [showrunner Tasha Huo] On this point, and have Netflix behind. More recently, a Tomb Raider TV series has been announced for Prime Video, with Game of Thrones Alum Sophieturner which takes place in the combat boots of the Croft brand and handling its two Browning hi-power pistols.

The shooting on production should start on January 19, 2026 with Phoebe Waller-Bridge as a co-showrunner alongside Chad Hodge.
