One of the most discussed staff members in the Department of Effectiveness of the Trump Administration government has left the federal government, pursuing a flow of departures related to the DOGE.
Edward Coristine, nicknamed “Big Balls”, 19, who joined DOGE as one of his original employees, left his job and the administration entirely, said a White House spokesman on Tuesday. The spokesperson did not provide details.
An account under the name of Coristine on X, verified by NBC News, also said that he had left.
Coristine drew attention not only because of his nickname but also because of his youth and his job story, after being dismissed from an internship in a cybersecurity company to flee the secrets of the company, according to Bloomberg News. Wired Magazine pointed out his departure from the Trump administration earlier.
His age and lack of experience have symbolized DOGE for many of his detractors, including federal workers and Congress Democrats who declared that he was recklessly acting in his quest to reduce expenses.
Coristine did not respond to a request for comments sent by e-mail on Tuesday. The circumstances of his departure were not immediately clear.
He is Doge’s latest member of the Trump administration – a list that includes the technological billionaire Elon Musk, who left the White House at the end of last month and launched a short quarrel against President Donald Trump.
