The administrator of Trump offers discussions on Iran for the nuclear agreement, ceasefire

The Trump administration would have offered to meet Iran this week to discuss its nuclear program and a potential ceasefire with Israel.

Four sources have confirmed to Axios that the White House had proposed a meeting between the American envoy Steve Witkoff and the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi. The meeting would focus on a nuclear agreement and would end the war between Israel and Iran.

“A meeting with the Iranians this week is being studied,” an American official told Axios.

The meeting was only proposed in the desire of President Trump to conclude an agreement, although it was not officially finalized. By axios:

Trump sees the huge bunker busters necessary to destroy Iran’s underground enrichment installation in Fordow – that the United States has and that Israel does not – as Levary key for Iran to conclude an agreement, said a senior American official.

Describing the decision on bunker busters as a “inflection point”, the manager said that Trump “thinks in terms of transactions and leverage. And it is a lever effect ”.

Trump has so far refused to participate directly in Israel’s attacks on Iran, but has clearly indicated that Iran should be prevented from obtaining a nuclear weapon in one way or another.

The senior official said that even if the administration would like to participate in talks, he does not yet know if Iran has been “entirely kneeling so that they realize that to have a country, they must speak …”

As Breitbart News reported on Monday, the president also rejected “the proposed declaration of the G7 on Iran because it called for the surveillance of Iranian nuclear activities, rather than a quantity of the Iranian nuclear enrichment program”:

The Trump administration demanding that Iran stop all enrichment of uranium, because enrichment beyond a certain level has no other purpose than to develop the single isotope necessary for nuclear weapons.

Iran refused to agree, leading to dead end in nuclear talks – and led Israel to attack Iran last Friday rather than to face the prospect of an imminent Iranian nuclear weapon.

The president would also have rejected a document draft which only requested monitoring of Iranian nuclear installations as opposed to a complete stop on the enrichment of the country’s uranium.
