The actors of “Motorheads” make me feel old like Yoda

From the dream of adolescents to the sage sage.

Ryan Phillippe makes the same trip as actors such as Luke Perry took earlier: he became famous in “Teen Idol” roles, and now he plays a parental figure.

“I think that having three children of various ages and that I have been a father for a long time, it is a natural space for me,” said Phillippe, 50, at the post about his new drama for adolescents, “Motorheads”.

But, he added, for his emblematic role in the “cruel intentions” of 1999, he finds “crazy” that “this film still has new fans today, and that he holds as he did”.

“It’s as crazy that they now reflect so much in which I have been – which is very aware of my age!”

He shared the son Deacon, 21, with his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon, 49, with whom he was married from 1999 to 2008. They also share the Girl Ava, 25 years old. (He has a third child, his daughter Kai, 13, with his ex, the actress “Pitch Perfect” Alexis Knapp.)

“Motorheads” (in first May 20 on Prime Video) follows high school students ZAC (Michael Cimino) and Caitlyn (Melissa Collazo), who move with their mom (Nathalie Kelley) in her birthplace of the rust belt, where there is a flourishing street race scene. They are close to their uncle, Logan (Phillippe), a former Nascar mechanic who is now struggling to keep a body of body afloat.

Ryan Philippe spoke to the “Motorheads” post.

Deacon plays Logan’s brother, Christian, in flashbacks, when he disappeared in mysterious circumstances 17 years ago.

“It’s like, at some point, I was like these 20 years at the start of this set. And it’s funny to see how to watch them interact and hear them talking about industry and their careers really brings me back at that time,” recalls Ryan to the post.

The star of “I know what you did last summer” added: “But I also think that I am in a place in my life where [I’m] Capable of sharing part of my experience and being very open to what it was – good and evil – to direct them in the right direction, or to be a source of advice or a mentor.

He joked: “But yes, I felt a bit like Yoda sometimes on the set.”

The Ryan co-stars often asked him “on the old days of making films, and what it looked like”.

“Some of them are afraid of being replaced by AI,” he said. “And I tell them that it is probably not a problem for me – because I will already be faced with as it happens.”

In his Instagram article on “Motorheads”, Ryan joked that he does not “die in it”.

His characters in previous high -level roles, such as “cruel intentions”, “I know what you did last summer” and “Big Sky”, were all killed.

“”[For ‘Big Sky’] They put me everywhere in key art and display panels, then I died in the first episode. So I had a lot of people who were very angry with me on this subject, “he recalls.” Many friends or fans were like: “Oh, we’re going to watch this show and you will die in the first episode!” “”

“Now I have to assure anyone when I am in a project that I am going to be in more than one episode.”

Since his character “I know what you did last summer” is dead, he will not be part of the sequel of 2025. He was not in the revival of prime video canceled either “cruel intentions”.

“It seems and does not seem so long. It is interesting-there are parts of me who remember yesterday, and then there is another part of me that has the life of someone else,” he said. “You are just happy that these things continue and that people always care about the work you have done, in every way.”

While turning “cruel intentions”, he said that he had no idea that he would become a classic cult.

“I had this hope of being in a sort of seminal team film, because of those I grew up watching, like the films John Hughes,” Pretty in Pink “and” The Breakfast Club “. And so I think there was one to me that I would be in something like that, “he continued. “But when you do it, you have no concept.”
