Liberal actor Michael Ian Black had hardwords for Governor Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., Sunday for his campaign on social networks lagging against President Donald Trump.

Newsom launched a media blitz, his presence on social networks imitating Trump’s style. These movements are considered by some as a signal that Newsom plans to present itself to the presidency in 2028.

While some welcomed Newsom for his social media offensive, like a spot of lightness at a time when the Democratic Party does not have a unified mission or leader, others argued that it was useless.

“I hate it. I know I’m in a minority about it. I hate him do this. Because I hate that we reduce our politicians to cartoons,” said Black in his CNN show, “I have news for us.” “I do not give a sh – how much you control online. Do your work f — Ing. This is what matters to me.”

Representative Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas defended Newsom as his “partner”, arguing that if these buffoonemeries can be “immature” and “ignorant”, it is entirely the point.

“So yes, I think it is necessary because we put a good old mirror in your face to make you understand that you all support a real fool ignorant all this time,” she said.

The actor Dave Foley, famous for being in the show of the comedy “Kids in the Hall”, sparked laughter on the panel when he joked: “I think that the ancient desire for integrity of Michael is adorable.”

Black praised the governor of Illinois JB Pritzker, D., in contrast with Newsom.

“The governor of Illinois is there, doing exactly the same points, but doing it in a mature, intelligent, rational, reasonable way and does not present himself as if he were just a little needy baby who sucks the Tray of the attention of the public, which I think that Gavin Newsom does,” he said.

“These people already vote the Democrat,” replied the co-host Amber Ruffin. “We don’t need their votes. We need silly votes. Let’s be stupid. Let’s make memes stupid. Let’s have cartoons.”

The Newsom office did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
