The 8 Best Reality TV Shows of 2025

Another year means another year of entertaining, sometimes drama-filled, but always fun reality TV.
Even though Hollywood hasn’t footed much of the reality TV bill over the past year, networks and streamers haven’t left fans hanging when it comes to delivering some of our favorite unscripted series. Netflix and Peacock have raced to outdo each other with hits like “Love Is Blind” and “Love Island,” while Bravo remains the It Girl of reality TV with popular franchises like “Real Housewives.”
But there were also some new and nostalgic titles that arrived this year, sharing space with some of the most popular shows. Check out the list below.

“Squid Game: The Challenge” Season 2
For the second time in a row, “Squid Game: The Challenge” proved to be just as exciting and hair-raising as the Netflix original series. In Season 2, a whole new group of 456 players entered the Squid Game arena to compete for $4.56 million. With broken alliances, shocking eliminations and grueling challenges, “Squid Game: The Challenge” Season 2 was an emotional roller coaster that will go down in the books.

Every season of ‘Love Island USA’ leaves the internet in ruins, but season 7 was a little different due to the intense drama unfolding inside the villa that eventually made its way to social media. Between the clash between Huda and Jeremiah, the controversies surrounding Yulissa and Cierra and the acclaimed romantic relationship between Olandria and Nic, season 7 of “Love Island USA” literally had everyone talking this year.

Once again, 10 men competed against each other for Season 2 of the fun and light-hearted holiday-themed competition series. The guys showed off their best acting skills in a bid to land the role of Hallmark’s next leading man in a movie.

The three-time Emmy Award-winning competition series has returned to Peacock for another season of twists and secrets. Iconic personalities from hit reality TV shows plotted and lied while trying to figure out who was a loyalist, who was fighting over money, while identifying traitors among their group.

“Kimora: back in the way of the fabulous”
A nice gift given during the holiday season was the return of Kimora Lee Simmons’ reality TV show, “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane.” It has been retitled “Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane” and shows what the former model’s life is now like 15 years after her original series ended. With his daughters Ming and Aoki Lee Simmons having grown up, and with the new additions to his family, Lee Simmons’ series has quickly become a staple among fans.

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” Season 10
What would this list be without some good old “Real Housewives”? “The Real Housewives of Potomac” launched its 10th season this year and upped the drama ante. With new cast members Tia Glover and Angel Massie, the readings have become sharper, the girls’ journeys grander, and the tea hotter than ever.

“Young, Famous and African” Season 3
After a short break after season 2, “Young, Famous & African” is back for its third season with more drama and elegance. It arrived with one fewer episode than the previous season, but there were more cast members to fall in love with this time around. Some of the biggest highlights of the season include Zari Hassan’s wedding and Quinton Masina and Kayleigh Schwark’s engagement.

“Love is Blind” Season 9
“Love Is Blind” never fails to bring heartwarming good times to viewers, and season 9 was no different.
