The 7 best new films streaming on Paramount + in May 2025

Paramount + has abandoned new cinematographic goodies on his list this month, and we are here to tell you which are the best in the group.
Between certain autobiographical wonders, an ultimate classic and an underestimated jewel with Ryan Reynolds which will make you crack the whole film, this list will be your essential guide for May-especially the Memorial Day weekend.
Here is our list of some of the best new films to watch on Paramount + at the moment.

“Freedom Writers” (2007)
The first on our list is “Freedom Writers”. The film is based on the true story of the secondary professor Erin Gruwell, who is represented by Hilary Swank. In an effort to bring his students at risk back on the right track, Erin implements relatable reading equipment as part of their program and requests them to keep a personal newspaper. Her passion for her students returned when she notices them progressively.

“Sin City” (2005)
In Frank Miller’s film and Gothic Crime Crime, “Sin City”, the solo stories of several characters end up colliding. Based on Miller’s graphic novel and directed by Robert Rodriguez (with a “guest made” scene by Quentin Tarantino), the film is told by a mysterious seller (Josh Hartnett). And an old prostitute (Brittany Murphy) who is on the run of her ex-impact.

“Just Friends” (2005)
Roger Kumble’s romantic comedy is really an underestimated jewel that will make you laugh the whole film. Ryan Reynolds embodies Chris Brander, a former unpopular high school student who leaves the city and grew up to become a beautiful musical director 10 years later. When his plans to go to Paris for the holidays fall, he accidentally made a trip home where he tries to win the heart of his best friend who zoned him a decade ago.

“Finding Neverland” (2004)
“Finding Neverland” is a semi-autobiographical film on part of the life of the creator of “Peter Pan” JM Barrie. The film features Johnny Depp, who plays Barrie, alongside Freddie Highmore. Highmore plays Peter Llewelyn Davies, the real inspiration behind the character in the fictitious history of Barrie. This tearing tells the tragic true story behind “Peter Pan”.

“Pain” (2020)
We have another semi-autobiographical film on the list with the personal history of Lee Issac Chung of “Minari”. With Steven Yeun at the head under the name of Jacob Yi, viewers look at the trip of a South Korean family who immigrated to rural regions of Arkansas in the 80s. While they are adapting to the new land, they also come up new challenges as they develop their house far from home. Chung drew his own education in Arkansas for the Oscar -winning film.

“Clueless” (1995)
“Clueless” is probably the classic of the classic. Between the myriad of target moments and the emblematic modes of distribution, “Clueless” was an absolute must for this list. Alicia Silverstone is dear in the romance comedy for adolescents of Amy Heckerling, a rich and popular student from Beverly Hills secondary school who still gets his way. After having managed to bring together two teachers in a romantic way, Dear tried his chance to refresh the appearance of the new Ringard Tai (Brittany Murphy) with a makeover. But when Tai begins to take the shine of Cher, she learns an overview of her old step (Paul Rudd) was not wrong after all.

“A very Brady suite” (1996)
While Paramount + has both a very job “suite” and its predecessor “The Brady Bunch Movie”, “A very heap suite” is really coupled with Annnd comedy, it gave us the emblematic gif “sure, Jan” that we see used everywhere online. In the film, the family world is turned upside down when a crook called Trevor Thomas (Tim Matheson) is claiming that he is the first long lost husband of Carol (Shelley Long). And after the impostor took off with one of the precious property of their family, they end up with another possible journey – this time for the island of Hawaii.
