The 10 animators to watch the Variety event return to Los Angeles on July 9

Variety Will celebrate the next wave of animation pioneers again during its 10 annual animators to watch the event on July 9 in Los Angeles. The evening, presented by Nickelodeon, will highlight the rising stars of this year in animation whose work shapes the future of narration through cinema, television and streaming.

The celebration follows the exit of VarietyThe 10 annual animators to look at the functionality, publishing on Wednesday July 9, which plunges into the creative trips of these remarkable talents and previews the exciting projects they have on the horizon.

The event and this year’s number will also honor Chris Miller with the Creative Impact in Animation 2025 Prize. Known for his visionary work on beloved titles like “Puss in Boots” and “Shrek the third”, Miller continues to push the limits of animation. His latest film, the highly anticipated “Smurfs”, opens on July 18.

“We are delighted to team up again with Variety to honor the incredible artists and storytellers who continue to redefine the animation landscape and advance our incredible industry,” said Ramsey Naito, president, paramount animation and animation of Nickelodeon. “This year is very special while we are launching the summer of the Smurfs by highlighting two of ours – Kasey Fagerquist and Margaret Wuller – whose art won them a place on the prestigious 10 animators of Variety to watch the list.   • And park – Artistic director, characters, Walt Disney animation studios
  • CJ Sarchene – Head of animation of the characters, “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie”
  • Cristina Sotta – Supervision director, “Batman: Caped Crusader”
  • Alon Winterrstein – Animation supervisor, Pixar Animation Studios
  • Daniel Lim Yan – Lead animator, Dneg animation
  • Kirill Yeretsky – Co-founder and creative director, Tomato Beach
