Las Vegas-A punitive heat wave in the southwest should spread east in the coming days, with temperatures of more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit expected in the northeast and possible record peaks in certain parts of New England later this week.
About 15 million people are under extreme warnings or warnings in eastern California, Nevada, Arizona and western Texas. High temperatures well in triple figures should be widespread in the region on Wednesday.

“For the beginning of next week, we are examining our first stretch of hot and humid time extended from Sunday and lasts at least in the middle of next week,” said the New York branch of the meteorological service in an article on X.
Meanwhile, extreme heat should persist through the rest of this week in the southwest desert regions, including in Death Valley, where temperatures can climb over 120 F, depending on the meteorological service.
