Liverpool ready for 68 million pounds sterling for “one of the best STS”

Penny for the thoughts of the mass of detractors who thought that Arne Slot would fall on the edge of the road after taking the relay in Liverpool. The replacement of Jurgen Klopp was an impossible task, after all.
Liverpool has done something other than stumbling up, jumping in a way to win the Premier League in the first season of Slot, so dominant and so far away from Arsenal and Manchester City.
However, all the first Anfield teams failed to cover themselves with glory, at least on an individual basis. The man of the Record Club Darwin Nunez is the most obvious choice, having scored seven goals in 47 Premier League games, starting a single match of the League since the day after Christmas.
Nunnez will leave this summer, most likely, pretenders emerging from Spain and Saudi Pro League. However, FSG could go further and also enjoy Diogo Jota.
A high-level new number is at the top of the shopping list, remember.
The last on the future of Diogo Jota
JOTA is not nailed to a sale this summer (unlike NUNEZ), but he may well find new boots in September, with Liverpool reluctant to offer their sniper a new contract; Its current agreement expired in June 2027.
Liverpool signed Jota de Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020 for costs of 45 million pounds sterling. He has since become one of the deadliest scorers in the world, with Jamie Carragher even saying last year that the Portuguese star is “the best finisher” that the Reds had in the Premier League, going beyond the big names that you can support me instantly.
But Jota was unusually lavish this year, with Sofascore recording his total XG (expected goals) at 7.92, which means with a return of six goals, he underperformed.
The injuries, an incessant plague throughout his career in Liverpool, seem to catch up with the 28 -year -old.

Saudi contenders are passionate and collecting the two stars could prove invaluable, as this would allow Liverpool to move for their highest target in the center-forward.
Liverpool prepare for the touted attacker
According to Spanish sources, Liverpool is preparing an official offer for Hugo Ekitike, but will have to act quickly, with the Eintracht Frankfurt in front one of the most sought -after stars of the summer.
It is understood that FSG would be willing to pay 80 million euros (around 68 million pounds sterling) for French talent, but perhaps not to meet the assessment of 100 million euros in the Bundesliga (85 million pounds sterling), as has been reported in Germany.
The problem, of course, is that Liverpool is not the only one in their offer, with the winners of the conference league, Chelsea, also wanted an agreement and said they had the head in the race, Sky Sports saying that they “put the most effort”.
This is mainly due to Anfield Japan with a certain number of different transactions – skillfully, it must be said – but certainly asks the action if this race must be won.
What Hugo Ekitike would bring to Liverpool
Ekitike, 22, left Paris Saint-Germain as an exciting perspective to make a name for himself in Germany. Frankfurt has proven the dream greenhouse for him, with those like analyst Ben Mattinson about him as “one of the best attackers”.
His half-season with Die Roten in 2023/24 seemed unsuccessful until something clicked on the end of the company, Ekitike displaying four goals and a decisive pass in the last five games of the League season.
This year, he completely reached another equipment, scoring 22 goals and adding 12 assists on 48 games in all competitions, perfecting his clinical capacity while prospering a set of skills with multiple facets which has probably been the striking factor to convince Liverpool data analysts.
Availability is also a solid costume, Ekitike missing a single match of the finishing campaign with a slight blow. Of course, this leaves him diametrically opposed to Jota in this regard, making a significant case for a change of transfer in the coming months.
Conversely in Jota, Ekitike’s finish leaves something to be desired, but that did not prevent him from forging an almighty campaign in Germany, reaching seven goal involvement of 12 games from the Europa League.
But the finish can be improved. Jota scored seven goals in his last Premier League season for Wolves, missing 12 major chances.
What matters is that Ekitike covers the duration of expectations and then some. Indeed, his performances suggest that he is the dynamic and rounded attacker necessary for Liverpool, the one who would certainly prove an upgrade on Jota.

Above, we have a snack of the data of the two attackers of their respective league campaigns. Ekitike, as you can see, has surpassed its Portuguese counterpart on almost all metrics, with its power a direct product of its desire to enter the box.
Let us turn our attention to the respective data of the respective players of the players. Ekitike is also much more mobile, demonstrating an energy and a mistake that could help Liverpool in transition, because Jota is more likely to dwell in the danger zone than to really contribute to the transition itself.
Jota is considered to be a dynamic player, but Liverpool may well have found an even more proteial attacker in their attack application, and much younger in addition.
And given that the proof of Wellspring which is Jota’s typing capacity has apparently dried up, it might be useful to collect after five years of fierce service on the Merseyside, by bringing a new face to direct the era of the slot machine because it really strikes its stride.
