Tesla (Tsla) Refuses a new report that his board of directors explored to replace Elon Musk as managing director.
The Wall Street Journal (He), citing anonymous sources familiar with the case, reported on Wednesday evening that the members of the board of directors contacted several executive research firms about a month ago to find out about the search for a new CEO. Awareness came as Tesla’s share price was enveloped in the middle of the controversial role of Musk at the head of the Ministry of Government efficiency (Doge) under President Donald Trump. Tesla had reduced her goal to a large research company, the newspaper reported.
Robyn Denholm, chairman of the board of directors of Tesla, denied the report early Thursday.
“Earlier in the day, a media report wrongly said that the board of directors of Tesla had contacted recruitment companies to launch a CEO search in the company”, ” Denholm said in a statement that Tesla posted on X. “It is absolutely false (and it was communicated to the media before the report of the report). The newspaper said he had contacted Musk for history but that he had not answered.
The report on the results of the first quarter of Tesla this year was dismal. Net profit has flowed 71%, while the company has missed estimates on income and profit adjusted by action in the midst of slowdown sales, consumer decline towards the role of cost reduction and slashing of musk, prices, etc.
