Tennis: Sorana Cîrstea, spectacular jump in the world ranking | Sporty

Champion last week in Cleveland (United States), Sorana Cîrstea obtained an impressive 41-year-old jump in the WTA ranking.
Sorana Cîrstea returned after six months in the world top 100 and is now in position 71.
With 928 points, Sorana Cîrstea is the third best classified player in Romania.
In the first hundred worlds, there are three other Romanians:
- Jaqueline Cristian ranks 50th (like last week) with 1,161 points.
- Gabriela Ruse has descended three positions and is now on 70, with 939 points.
- Irina Begu fell into the world hierarchy with two places and is now in position 92, with 819 points.
In the top 10, there was no change compared to the previous week. Aryna Sabalenka (Bélarus) is a detached leader, with an advance of almost 3,300 points compared to the following classification, Iga Swiak (Poland). The podium is completed by Coco Gauff (United States), only 59 points behind the varnish.
In doubles, our country remains with three representatives in the Top 100, Sorana Cîrstea out of 57, Gabriela Ruse on 68 and Monica Niculescu out of 83.
