Television television programming is becoming dark on YouTube TV

Televisauvision and Youtube TV failed to conclude a new transport agreement before the expiration of their current contract on Tuesday, which led to a network programming for around 10 million subscribers of the latter.
“Televisaunivision has more than 160 million subscribers and billions of views on YouTube, where they generate advertising revenues from their content. On our live TV subscription service, YouTube TV, however, Televisaunivision represents only a global innovative fraction of consumption,” said a YouTube spokesperson in a statement. “As we have not concluded a new agreement with them, their content is no longer available on YouTube TV.”
In addition to the VIX streaming service in Televisuvision, network content is available on the main YouTube platform, where they have more than 10 million subscribers. On average, there were more than 9 billion views of the contents in Spanish daily on the main YouTube application worldwide in June. YouTube TV also offers news content thanks to its recent renewal with Fox and new agreements with C-SPAN and OANN.
Televisauvision began to warn viewers of a potential programming failure earlier this month.
At the time, he said that the platform belonging to Google was trying to delete univision from its main range and move it to a Spanish add-on package only. He argued that the decision would oblige millions of Hispanic households to pay 18% more for its local news, its live sports and its entertainment content, calling it “discriminatory” and an “abuse of its market power”.
YouTube TV argued that its transport decisions are based on the consumption and the prices of the spectator and that it offered a renewal which was “in accordance with the performance of their channel and the value of this content for subscribers of YouTube television today”.
In a statement on Tuesday, a spokesperson for Televisuvision castigated the decision of the platform belonging to Google, arguing that it “stripped millions of Hispanic viewers of short stories, sports and entertainment in the Spanish language on which they count every day”.
“Google’s actions are particularly deaf and blatant on the eve of a potential government closure, without taking into account the calls of government representatives and Hispanic organizations that have urged them to keep univision on the main pack,” added the company. “To add the insult to the injury, YouTube TV chose to make this stage during the month of Hispanic heritage – a deeply insensitive and offensive act.”
He added that “the unhappy error” is “easily reversible” and that it “always opened to find constructive means for Hispanics to regain access to their content of trust and criticism”.
The company has added: “We are firmly defending our audience and ensuring that YouTube television subscribers know that they have many options to continue to look at univision programming through other suppliers.”
The latest dispute for YouTube TV comes as its talks with Nbcuniversal remain in progress, their contract should also expire on Tuesday evening.
