Teen Heartthrob Bobby Sherman died at 81

Bobby Sherman, the idol and actor of the 60s, died Tuesday morning at the age of 81.

His wife, Brigitte Poublon, confirmed Sherman’s death to Fox News Digital.

Made with the help of friend John Stamos, Poublon shared the news of Sherman’s death on social networks.

“It is with the heaviest heart that I share the death of my beloved husband, Bobby Sherman,” wrote Stamos on Instagram in the name of Puplon. “Bobby left this world while holding my hand – just as he held our life with love, courage and grace unshakable through the 29 beautiful years of marriage.”

“I was his Cinderella, and he was my prince charming. Even in his last days, he stayed strong for me. It was who was Bobby – courageous, sweet and full of light. Poublon noted that his late husband was “a man on service” who “exchanged closed counters and magazine blankets for the back of an ambulance, becoming an EMT and a coach with the LAPD.”

“He saved lives. He showed us what the true heroism – Quiet, altruistic and deeply human, looked like,” wrote Poblon. “Bobby is survived by his two sons, Tyler and Christopher, and six beautiful grandchildren.

“He lived with integrity, gave without hesitation and loved his heart with all his heart. And although our family deeply feels his loss, we also feel the warmth of his heritage – his voice, his laughter, his music, his mission.”

Sherman had received a diagnosis of stadium cancer 4, Poublon told Fox News Digital.

“As many of you know, Bobby has been withdrawn for some time and is no longer able to participate in the cameos, sign autographs or make appearances,” explained Poublon on social networks in March. “It is with a heavy heart that we share Bobby recently received a diagnosis of cancer of stage 4. During this difficult period, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our private life,” said his declaration.

Later, she spoke with Fox News Digital, confirming that her diagnosis was specifically kidney cancer and that he was “in terminal” and that cancer had spread “everywhere”.
