Ted Cruz says “stop attacking pedophiles” in clumsy gaffe

Ted Cruz called on the Democrats and the Republicans to “stop attacking the pedophiles” while he fell on Tuesday by an audience in the Senate.

The republican senator suffered the clumsy shift by speaking during a hearing of the senatorial judicial committee on the response of the Trump administration to crime in cities, where he said: “Democratic crime policies kill people”.

“The senator [Cory] Booker also said that we should have a bipartite agreement. I think this is an excellent idea – we should have a bipartite agreement, “said Cruz, striking the previous remarks of the Democratic senator urging the Republicans to work in” bipartite “to ensure the security of the communities.

“What would you say to come together and say” let’s stop murders, “continued Cruz. “And if we all come together and say” let’s stop rape “. And if we all come together and say “stop attacking the pedophiles”. »»

The Senator of Texas, 54, did not fix and took place and continued to shake up the statistics praising the war show on the crime of President Donald Trump in Washington, DC

The daily beast understands that Cruz meant “let’s stop pedophiles”.

A particular pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, has often dominated the conversation on Capitol Hill in recent months.

Cruz said in January that Trump should “absolutely” declare the files of the investigation into the sex offender for children sentenced to the end, saying: “We deserve to know who is involved in the abuse of children.”

However, earlier this month, he voted against a democratic amendment to a law on defense policy which would have forced the Ministry of Justice to publish all the Epstein files, joining all the GOP senators except two – Josh Hawley of Missouri and Rand Paul de Kentucky – to overcome the measure.

Meanwhile, the House Republicans have so far blocked an effort to organize a ground vote to force the Trump administration to disclose the documents still picked on Epstein – a single boyfriend from the president.

During the hearing in Tuesday Senate, which was entitled “Blue City Chaos and Tragedy: how the Trump administration approaches the human cost on crime policies” by the judicial committee led by the GOP, Cruz praised the deployment by Trump at DC

Trump argued Tuesday that America faced an “invasion of the interior” in a speech to hundreds of generals and admirals who had been summoned from their messages to hear the president talking alongside the chief of the pentagon pete hegseth.

Trump mired against democratic cities like Chicago, Portland and Los Angeles, and told the generals that he had urged Hegseth to use “dangerous” cities as a training ground for the army, declaring that “we will straighten them one by one”.
