Taylor Swift Attends First Chiefs Game Since Travis Kelce Engagement

Taylor Swift is back cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, seen in her first NFL game of the season after announcing her engagement to the team’s veteran tight end Travis Kelce in August.
Swift was photographed enjoying the Oct. 12 home game from a private suite. The Chiefs face the Detroit Lions.
The game comes two years after Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in October 2023. Swift announced their engagement in August in a social media post, writing “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The proposal came minutes after Swift recorded an appearance on the New Heights podcast, which Kelce hosts with her brother and now-retired NFL star Jason Kelce. The fandom episode attracted a massive audience, with 13 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours alone.
In her episode, Swift revealed details of her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” saying the new music was inspired by her globe-trotting experience on her record-breaking Eras Tour: “This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during that tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just came out. the most infectious, wild, dramatic place I was in my life, and for the excitement to come through on this record. And like you said, bangers.
Swift’s popularity as the NFL’s most high-profile fan also led league commissioner Roger Goodell to openly invite the singer-songwriter to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show: “We would always love Taylor to play. She has a special, special talent and obviously she would be welcome at any time.”
