Taylor Sheridan’s “lioness” marks the revival of season 3 in Paramount +

Taylor Sheridan’s “lioness” was renewed for a third season in Paramount +.

In the second season of the spying thriller, which was presented in October 2024, the fight against the CIA against terrorism approached his home. Joe (Zoe Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman) and Byron (Michael Kelly) enlisted a new lioness agent to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With the assembly of the pressure on all sides, Joe was forced to confront the deep personal sacrifices she made as a chief of the lioness program.

In addition to Saldaña, Kidman and Kelly, season 2 with Morgan Freeman, Laysla de Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, Lamonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinkl and Hannah Love Lanier.

In December, Thewrap said exclusively that season 2 of “Lioness” had reached a total of 8.3 million national households, an increase of 10% compared to 7.6 million in season 1. On the social side, the series generated 5 million commitments during its second season, up 177% compared to season 1.

Season 2 of “Lioness” was placed in the three main paramounts + for 2024, behind season 1 “Landman” and “Tulsa King”. Season 2 “Lioness” has become the fourth first paramount + the most watched in its first seven days, and the episode was going to lead to 12.4 million views around the world on all platforms.

Sheridan, Saldaña, Kidman Executive produce alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.

Paramount television studios and 101 studios serve as producers. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. The first two seasons are available to broadcast now on Paramount +.
