A24 provides a celebration of a week before its reopening of the Cherry Lane Off-Broadway theater in September, with Spike Lee, Jerrod Carmichael, Brandi Carlile, Sofia Coppola and more.
The film studio bought the 100 year old old -year -old theater in 2023 after the West Village Theater was in financial troubles. A24 has since renovated the theater and associates with the team behind Frenchette To open a restaurant and a bar there.
The theater will present theatrical productions, projections of films and more. Natalie Palamid’s one-wife show Weather report Will be the first long -term programming at the theater, with the show for a five -week race from September 20.
The theater also provides a series of film screenings led by Sofia Coppola, which will also include a discussion later. It starts on September 14 with a projection of Foxes And a discussion with Jodie Foster. A block party will follow on September 14. Projection.

Before the reopening, the theater organized a series of private events, including the Ramy Youssef and Alex Edelman, Haim stand-up comedy in preview of their new album I stopped with a listening party and a performance for a group of their fans and a theater reading of Be young, gifted and black, A play by Robert Nemiroff adapted the writings of Lorraine Hansberry who had his first original in The Cherry Lane in 1969.
