T-Mobile Ditchs Political Diversity as president of the FCC, Brendan Carr, he ended “discrimination invites”

T-Mobile wrote Tuesday to the President of the Federal Commission Commission (FCC), Brendan Carr, saying that the wireless supplier had ended his diversity, equity and inclusion practices (DEI).
T-Mobile wrote to the President of the FCC Carr:
You have clearly indicated that you expect the companies that the FCC regulates legitimate practices, free from forms of discrimination prompts and open to all. Without a doubt, T-Mobile’s culture and practices are focused on giving each employee the opportunity to grow and succeed and deliver our vision to connect each American, no matter who he is or where he lives.
…
As T-Mobile said earlier this year, we recognize that the legal and political landscape surrounding Dei under federal law has changed and that we are fully determined to guarantee that T-Mobile has no policies or practices that allow concerned discrimination, whether in achieving Dei or any other objective. We carried out a complete examination of T-Mobile policies, programs and activities, and under this examination, T-Mobile puts an end to its policies related to the dei As described below, not only in the name, but in substance. [Emphasis added]
Its end of policies linked to the DEI includes the displacement of employees with roles related to the DEI to focus on the culture and commitment of employees, and the company will have no person focused on Dei. It will also remove all references to DEI on the websites of its companies and future communications.
“We do not use hiring quotas, objectives or percentages depending on the race, sex, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics,” wrote T-Mobile.
The wireless supplier has also withdrawn from its employee training equipment.
This is Carr’s latest decision to end Dei in many companies regulated by the FCC.
Verizon announced in May that it had ended its dei policies.
“Verizon has now agreed to put an end to its DEI policies, as specified in a new FCC file. These changes come into force immediately. A good step forward for equal opportunities, non-discrimination and public interest,” wrote Carr.
The President of the FCC in February opened an investigation into the company’s DEI policies in the same vein as for Comcast diversity policies.
