Sylvester Stallone’s Stunts Cut for Doubles by Paramount

Amid massive waves of layoffs and resignations at Paramount, another popular franchise has taken a hit. Taylor Sheridan King of Tulsa reportedly lost 26 of its 600 crew members, including Sylvester Stallone’s stunt double.

According to an exclusivity of DeadlineDozens of staff members from the hit Paramount show have been asked not to return. The incident took place just before filming began. King of Tulsa season 4. The report also claimed that the company had no plans to replace those fired.

Crew members from many departments were laid off. This includes camera operators, stunt people, transportation, hair, makeup, casting and much more. Everyone affected by the latest downsizing was led to believe their jobs were secure after the King of Tulsa has been renewed for two more seasons.

Freddie Poole, Stallone’s stunt double and coordinator, was among the group of people who were cut, discovering he no longer had a job just weeks before production. The Emmy nominee had worked with the King of Tulsa star for over a decade before being fired by the Paramount series.

Poole was informed that his dismissal was due to “creative reasons.” However, Paramount offered him a new role as a photo double for the series. But the stunt coordinator ultimately rejected the offer and parted ways with the studio. He also expressed his disappointment with the current state of this industry. “I’ve been in this business for 30 years, and I’ve been on shows for several seasons, and I’ve never seen this kind of turnover..”

The new King of Tulsa The developments come shortly after Sheridan announced his intention to leave Paramount following the expiration of his contract. The creator will join NBCUniversal, where he has a costly multi-year television and film deal with the company.
