“ Surprise ” Lucas Giolito responds to the early exit for the Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are fortunate to have Lucas Giolito on the hill.
He missed the 2024 season and part of the 2025 campaign too. Giolito obtained the ball on Friday and made 4 2/3 rounds and only granted one deserved point while removing three strikers, walking two and abandoning five strokes of basic.
Giolito was fired early on the surprise of some at 85 throws, including the veteran Starter, but Boston was able to get back on the right track and in the column of victories with a 5-1 victory against the Braves of Atlanta.
After the match, Giolito said he was “surprised” by the first traction, but had a perfect answer, as shared by Chris Cotillo de Masslive.com.
“(Alex Cora) said they had shot Giolito for Justin Wilson because they really liked the match against (Matt Olson),” said Cotillo. “” The way we played, each match is important, especially at that time, because we knew that we had two years.
“Giolito said he was” surprised “but added, laughing:” They don’t want me to give up a circuit there. I don’t like it, but I am an employee so we do what we are told. “”
Giolito has made consecutive solid departures. He made seven goals with no goal against the Baltimore Orioles on May 24 and now this outing against Atlanta. There seemed to be a little rust on his return at the end of April – which is expected after missing the 2024 season – but it seems that he turns a corner.
