Surprise approach for the 49ers for the winner of 177 Career Goal Champions League

Leeds United has a surprise approach to sign a new striker who won the Champions League.
Leeds wants more attack signatures before the transfer date
The whites fell to an embarrassing defeat of the EFL Cup against Sheffield on Wednesday evening, with the championship team aligning a team mainly filled with young people.
Daniel Farke, on the other hand, started the summer signatures of Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff, Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha, however, Leeds was eliminated in penalties after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
After finishing 10 senior signatures, more attackers are sought in Elland Road before the deadline, journalist Graeme Bailey saying Leeds wanted a winger and number 10.
“Leeds wants a winger and a number 10 – there are still a few offers. (EMI) Buendia has not played much for villa, so that he can return to the equation and possibly arrive on loan.
“Leeds also wants to make some other offers, they will be one of the busiest teams trying to finish movements. Regarding (Manor) Solomon, he had a good season in Leeds the last time, but he is not involved with the Spurs at the moment. We will see how it takes place.”
The remaining days in the transfer window, it seems that the 49ers companies turned to a new attack target and had an answer.
Leeds makes a surprise approach to Timo Werner
A versatile striker who seems to be on Leeds’ radar is the former Chelsea and Tottenham Timo Werner striker.
According to reports in Germany, relayed by Sport Witness, Leeds made a surprise approach to sign Werner from RB Leipzig. In addition to those of Yorkshire, his colleague promoted Burnley was also in contact to bring the German back to England, however, Werner Snobé both Leeds and Burnley.
Werner did not entertain the possibility of moving to Italy, Turkey and Saudi Arabia and is under contract with Leipzig until 2026 either.

Mark 177 senior goals during his career, Werner can play anywhere on the first three, but has experienced difficulties during the 2024/25 Premier League season, not having marked in 18 appearances.
He was also criticized by the former Spurs boss, Ange Postcoglou, after the display of the Europa League of the attacker against the Rangers.
“When you have 18 -year -olds [in the squad]he [that performance] is not acceptable to me. I said to Timo, she is a German international.
“As we are right now-it’s not like we had a lot of options-I need everyone to go there and try to give the best of themselves. His first half performance was not acceptable.
“We need everyone, including him, helping because we don’t have depth to leave people out if they work badly. I expect a level of performance of some of the senior guys, and tonight was not all.”
Werner is a winner of the Champions League and, at the age of 29, could have been a solid signature, but it seems that a transfer does not occur in the last days of the window.
