Superman Concept Art presents the destruction (without victim) of the metropolis in the restart of James Gunn

Superman 2025 will end as the most profitable superhero film of this year. Add the positive criticisms, and it’s just to say that filmmaker James Gunn made a strong start with his restart.
There was room for improvement (more time in the Daily Planet press room would have been welcomed), but with Man of tomorrow On the horizon, Gunn seems ready to continue to explore the Metropolis of the DCU.
The CO-PDG of DC was congratulated for having wanted to show that the city was evacuated during the good act, and thanks to the artist Victor Martinez, we have a new look at the destruction that rained on the house of Superman, thanks to Lex Luthor.
Of course, unlike 2013 Steel manThere were probably no victims, thanks to this timely evacuation and the intervention of Superman.
Going around to promote the film this summer, Gunn was asked about the insurance rates in the city of Clark Kent at home. “I mean, I live part of the time in California, and we have fires and earthquakes, so it’s about the same,” he shared “it’s just that there is not as much fire and earthquakes in the metropolis, just more Kaiju.”
He added, “I wanted to create a universe that was different from ours. One of the things I liked in DC was that it was not our world, it was another world, it was Gotham instead of New York, it was like a metropolis instead of anything, it was Star City and Central City and all these other places, that’s what I like to do.”
“If you destroy New York in the MCU, it is, I mean, it is heavy to destroy any city, but everything can happen in the DCU. We can destroy anything at any time. We could destroy a continent. It could happen. Give you the freedom to do what you want,” Gunn concluded.
