SUPERGIRL Star David Krumholtz Says Film Will Be “[Clarify] What is the House of El »

Supergirl is DC Studios’ next DCU film, but how will it handle the revelation that Jor-El and Lara sent their son to Earth to conquer the planet and form a harem?

James Gunn’s decision to put a new spin on the Man of Steel’s parents received a mixed response from fans, although it led Kal-El to further embrace his human parent and his identity as Clark Kent. NOW, Oppenheimer star David Krumholtz shared new perspectives on his Supergirl role of Zor-El, Kara’s father.

“It’s very faithful to the graphic novel it’s based on, Woman of Tomorrow,” » says the actor in the video below. “Which is great. I’m excited to kind of be the next thing to tell the story of Krypton and further clarify what the House of El is.”

That implication seems to be that we can expect to spend some time on Krypton, where we’ll learn more about the House of El and, presumably, that Supergirl’s parents probably didn’t have the same outlook as Zor-El’s older brother and his wife.

Krumholtz went on to say that “Everyone knows that Jason Momoa plays Lobo in this movie…it’s [the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow] cartoon plus Lobo.

There is a lot of intrigue and excitement around Supergirlespecially since it is a cosmic adventure based on one of Girl of Steel’s most popular comics, Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.

It was recently reported that Supergirl is currently filming to add David Corenswet’s Superman to the film. If these claims are correct, we imagine that this aims to establish the 2027 horizon. The man of tomorrowa film which should see Milly Alcock return in the role of the power girl.

In SupergirlSupergirl travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog. Along the way, she meets a young woman named Ruthye and finds herself on a deadly quest for revenge.

The cast includes Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Jason Momoa as Lobo, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze. Craig Gillespie directs from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

Supergirl arrives in theaters on June 26, 2026.
