MORRISVILLE, NY — According to the Madison County Public Information Officer, there is an active situation on the SUNY Morrisville campus.
PIO Samantha Field said they are asking everyone to stay away from campus, which is currently on lockdown.
The following email was obtained by NEWSChannel 2. The newsroom is working to obtain more information from officials.

The emailed message states the following:
“Campus on lockdown. A shooting occurred in South Hall, one person injured. At this time the suspect is unknown. Shelter in place until further notice. Additional information will be provided when available. SUNY Morrisville.”
