Sun 93-83 Storm (Jul 9 2025) Recapt of play

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut – – Tina Charles has set peaks of the season with 29 points and 11 rebounds to help Connecticut Sun finish a sequence of 10 defeats with a 93-83 victory against the Seattle storm on Wednesday.

Connecticut (3-16) has won its first game since June 6.

Charles made a basic jumper with 5:36 to do at the fourth quarter to give Connecticut his first advance of the match at 79-77. Charles also made two layups in eight seconds – after a flight from Saniya Rivers – for an advance of 91-81.

The sun moved away by scoring 11 consecutive points at the end of the fourth.

Charles finished 11 out of 22 on the field for his sixth 20 -point game of the season. Jacy Sheldon added 16 points and Bria Hartley had 15. Rivers scored his 11 points in the first five minutes of the third.

Skylar Diggins led Seattle (13-7) with 23 points and seven assists. Gabby Williams added 21 points and Nneka Ogwumike collected 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Diggins, Williams, Ogwumike and Ezi Magbegor each scored two figures in the first half and combined for 43 points while Seattle led 49-41.

Seattle used a possession of four points at the end of the third to take an advance of 74-66. Diggins made a lay-up while being dirty and the Connecticut striker Olivia Nelson-Ododa was called for a technical fault. Skylar Diggins made the two free throws for an eight -point lead.

Seattle welcomes the sun on Friday to start a Homestand of four games. The storm won the first regular season meeting 97-81 in Seattle on June 27.
