For a few years now, fans have felt the central couple Sullivan crossing was not the most interesting, and the best couple in the series has been so clear from the start. Romantic pairs on Sullivan crossing Do not cry exactly stable – if they did, there would be no spectacle. Main Sullivan crossing The Cal and Maggie couple took two years to understand their problems and finally to come together, largely because of Maggie’s traming between Andrew and Cal and their inability to open. It was not until the end of last season that Maggie finally stopped fleeing his problems Sullivan crossing.
Likewise, Sydney and Rafe danced in each other for almost two seasons in another situation of will / what is wrong. Walter lied to Phoebe and hid his fraud. Andrew and Maggie were clearly always wrong from each other from the start. This leaves Frank and Edna Cranebear, who are the strongest couple of Sullivan crossing. Maggie is perhaps the protagonist, but the Cranebears are at the heart of all this, both the spectacle and the fictitious camp itself. Part of this is because, while the constant drama swirls around them, whether it is a shady real estate developer who takes a step to buy the land, or questions of heart, Edna and Frank are always stable. They are a stable base and a relationship in a show that presents very little, and their stability as a couple provides an anchor that the series desperately needs to balance the melodrama.
Cranebears’ romance is more interesting and has more chemistry than others
It is not a new volatile love, but a deep and deep love
If I am honest with myself – and I am usually – then I should admit that, well, I do not find that Maggie and Cal have so much chemistry. Maggie is largely a figure, having put so many emotional walls and spending as much energy on the bad things for the first two seasons that she did not offer the public a lot to favor. She just doesn’t have much personality. Sydney and Rafe are similar – we have not really been able to see a lot as a couple before this season, and now they are already on trembling field. There are simply no romantic relationships to feel really invested.
But Edna and Frank are another story. Their relationship is by far the most interesting and the most dynamic, not because it is a new volatile love, but because it is an old and deep love. They have quietly had whole relational arches and challenges to overcome, namely Frank putting Sully before Edna, Frank needing to let go of the past and to make amends with his family, and, this season, Edna reconciles with the fact that she enters the menopause and faces her own mortality.
Their relationship is by far the most interesting and the most dynamic, not because it is a new volatile love, but because it is an old and deep love.
Their relational challenges are real and relatable, not those manufactured only in order to drag the drama or caused by young people emotionally stunted who do not know who they are or what they want. It is these stockings that make their tops much stronger; From the first second, they were on the screen, love Edna and Frank for the other resonate. They are so open with their affection in a way that other characters are not, and it is warm and authentic. Andrea Menard and Tom Jackson get all the credit for having given life to these two so wonderfully.

Their story makes the perfect main story
In fact, if Sullivan crossing I had to have a spin-off, I already have the perfect idea: a spin-off from Young Edna and Frank Cranebear. Throughout Sullivan crossingThe couple hinted at their past and that both have long tried to find a house and a place to belong. The two talked about how their inheritance and individual indigenous cultures shaped them, sometimes painful. Frank falls with his extended family that we know, but we have obtained advice that Edna’s past was just as painful.

A series of prequelled featuring the Cranebears would have a lot of fertile land to explore, even if Sullivan crossing Season 4 does not occur. Two lost and wandering souls finally find themselves an incredible premise for a romantic drama, especially if it carefully incorporates scenarios and indigenous themes with their personal experience and their love story. Broken people heal and cure each other through their love and mutual support are always an excellent setting for a good love story. For my part, I would like to see more Sullivan crossing Couple, no matter how it comes.
