Studiocanal hires Paul Gilbert as vice-president of the English language series

Studiocanal extends his British management team with the hiring of Paul Gilbert as the SVP of the series in English. He will be based in London and will present himself to the director general of MK Kennedy television.
Gilbert was previously an editor in service for Sky Studios, where he executed produced a series of series such as “The Lazarus Project” by Joe Barton, “Amadeus”, “A city called Malice”, “Tin Star” and “The Fear India”.
Under his new role at Studiocanal, Gilbert will put the development and production lance of a list of premium series from the United Kingdom and the United States, which Studiocanal will produce via their recently launched internal producer arms.
Gilbert will also work in close collaboration with studiocanal production companies, such as Urban Myth Films, The Picture Company, Sunnymarch, Strong Film & TV, Birdie Pictures and the Brock Media recently announced.
Gilbert is, for example, the next political thriller “Army of Shadows” (for Channel 4 and Canal +), the political thriller of Studiocanal “Army of Shadows” (for Channel 4 and Canal +) written by Ronan Bennett and “Apollo Haslen” currently in production for the studio. “Apollo Has Fallen” is the second episode of the anthology which started with “Paris Has Fallen”, the first internal internal Studiocanal series which broke the evaluation records on Canal + and exceeded the charts of Amazon UK and Hulu in the United States
Kennedy, who joined Studiocanal de Netflix about two years ago, praised “exceptional, instincts of Gilbert’s acute history and deep relations in the British creative community”.
“He will play a central role in accelerating the growth of our production arm in English and will provide questions of reflection and support for producers under the aegis of Studiocanal,” he continued.
