Stuart Smith: Wrestler `Conscious and capable of speaking” after being beaten when he was motionless by his son of the former UFC champion Jackson

The wrestler beaten while motionless by the son of the former UFC champion Rampage Jackson is aware but has a “difficult recovery to come”, according to an article on his brother’s facebook.
Images of an event on Saturday evening in Sun Valley, California, published on social networks have shown that Jackson’s son, Raja Jackson – a professional MMA fighter – slipping into the ring during another fight and launching Syko Sta, whose real name is Stuart Smith, at the matrix.
The video, which carries a watermark suggesting that it was broadcast live on the kick of the video platform, showed Jackson straddling Smith before hitting him several times on the face and on the side of his head, even when Smith was motionless. Other wrestlers then retained Jackson.
CNN has not been able to check the video independently, but Kick confirmed to CNN that Raja Jackson’s account was prohibited from the platform.
Smith’s brother Andrew said early on Monday that his brother was “aware and remembers the day of the attack.”
Andrew Smith then provided an update, writing that his brother was resting after undergoing “serious head injuries”.
“He is currently aware and able to speak, but will have a difficult recovery to come,” wrote Andrew.
“With all the attention of the media and social media, it was difficult to return to everyone.
Stuart Smith appreciates all love and support. He likes the struggle, his family of struggle and all his fans and supporters. The struggle was a large part of his life and he lives to organize a performance. He is also just an ordinary guy with a life and a family outside the ring. »»
Smith’s wife, Contenta Patterson, organized a fundraising page to help cover his medical expenses and loss of income after “unicenized assault”.
“Stuart Smith is a veteran of the American army who used the struggle as an outlet to cope with his SSPT, this incident has not only caused major physical damage, but will also disrupt his career inside the ring and outside,” she wrote.
At the time of writing the editorial staff, the page collected nearly $ 70,000.
After the event on Saturday, Rampage Jackson went to Twitter to condemn his son’s actions.
“I don’t tolerate my son’s actions at all!” He wrote in an article at X Sunday morning. “He (Raja Jackson) underwent a concussion of the disappearance only a few days ago and did nothing to distance physical contacts.
“As a father, I am deeply concerned about his health and the well-being of Mr. Smith. That being said, I am very upset that all of this has happened, but my main concern is now that Mr. Smith will quickly recover. I apologize for his name (Raja Jackson) and to kick the situation.”
A declaration by the organizer Knokx suggested that the incident began as a scripted part of the show, known as “work” in struggle, but was not intended to go as far as he did.
“What was supposed to be a place of planned and agreed, transformed into an act of selfish and irresponsible violence against Mr. Smith,” wrote the organizer.
“This blatant act is reprehensible and should never have happened. During the 17 years of operation of the Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything so odious like this and we apologize to our customers and our fans. ”
