‘Stranger Things’ finale brings in more than $25 million to theaters

Sources tell us this morning that Stranger Things final clear well north of $25 millionmaybe even $30 millioncash concession to movie theaters for his New Year’s Eve and New Year’s play.
The exhibition couldn’t charge for tickets to the Netflix event given the actors’ contractual terms, so they got around this by reserving seats with discount vouchers. At AMC theaters, these coupons cost $20 per seat.
Things of strangers the finale was performed in more than 620 venues, and the series’ creators, the Duffer Brothers, announced two days before the finale aired in theaters that 1.1 million seats had been sold, a figure ahead of Demon Hunters KPop RSVP (700 million) before the two days of play at the end of August. Note, AMC, the no. 1 circuit did not play KPop during that run, which grossed $19 million for exhibitors and earned Netflix its first No. 1 ranking title at the weekend box office.
