STRANGER THINGS final trailer sets the stage for an epic showdown between Eleven and Vecna
After almost ten years, it all comes down to this: the Stranger Things 5 the finale is here!
With the finale set to begin airing tomorrow night, Netflix has finally released the official trailer for the episode and it’s quite an emotional affair (“Hopper (David Harbour) gives an impassioned speech to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). He tells her: “Life has been so unfair to you. Your childhood has been taken away from you. You were attacked, manipulated by terrible people, but you never let yourself be broken. Fight for the days on the other side. Fight for a world beyond Hawkins. Let’s get this over with, kid.»
While the new footage is naturally spoiler-free, we do get a glimpse of the gang enacting Steve’s plan – Operation Beanstalk – to reach The Abyss and defeat Vecna once and for all.
Additionally, series co-creator Ross Duffer revealed that more than 1.1 million people attended the final theatrical screenings: “More than 1.1 million of you have already attended the final New Year’s and New Year’s Eve screenings, and more than 3,500 screenings in more than 620 theaters are already sold out. What a way to end a ten year journey – together. Maybe we’ll see some of you again in Los Angeles.“
The fan event was initially announced in 350 theaters across the United States and Canada, but due to popular demand it was expanded to more than 500 screens before tickets went on sale, and then again to more than 620 last week.

The synopsis for the finale, titled “The Rightside Up,” reads: “As Vecna prepares to destroy the world as we know it, the group must put everything on the line to defeat it once and for all.“It will be approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes long, making it the second longest episode of the series.
THE Stranger Things 5 Finale begins streaming at 8:00 PM EST tomorrow, December 31st, and will also be released in theaters on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!
