Kirk (Paul Wesley)? La’an and Kirk shared a flirt Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 2, but season 3 unexpectedly paired La’an with the Vulcan scientific officer.
La’an fell for another reality captain James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 2, Episode 3, “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow”. This version of Kirk was murdered, Scarring La’an after spending time with James to make him want to open and live more freely.
As Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 2 continued, La’an met Lieutenant James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley), the first counterpart in the James universe that she lost. Although they were different kirks, the year always felt an attraction for bonus James, and the first USS Farragut officer expressed the feeling.
The public, as well as Christina Chong and Paul Wesley, expected Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 3 to resume where La’An and Kirk stopped. To everyone’s surprise, Strange new worlds Rather suddenly associated La’an with Spock. Although I really appreciate “La’ock” and I think their coupling is logical, I always want Kirk and La’an to have continued.
Why Star Trek: Strange New Worlds reversed the course on the romance of Kirk & La’an
Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 3 Spock exchange for Kirk because the love interest of La’an cannot help being disappointing, given what was built between James and La’an throughout season 2.. The chemistry between Christina Chong and Paul Wesley was palpable. Kirk had a fun habit of teasing and disarming the La’an closely wrapped with its naughty charm.
Paul Wesley is presented as a special guest star in Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 3, but its appearances are always limited by not being part of the series. This is judicious of production for La’an to have a love interest which was also part of Strange new worlds’ Ordinary casting. From the point of view of writing, it limits the already frequent visits of Kirk to the USS Enterprise, which must always be justified.
In the universe, however, it is essential that Lieutenant-commander James Kirk is not Captain Kirk La’an Amoure. Prime Kirk looks like and acts in many ways, but La’an knows fundamentally that he is a different James, despite their mutual attraction. Always, Star Trek: Strange new worlds Season 3 approached what could have been between Kirk and La’an.
Lieutenant-commander Kirk and the Noonian-Singh lieutenant exchanged an awkward greeting that betrayed their sparks Strange new worlds Season 3, episode 6, “The Sehlat who ate his tail.” Kirk wanted specifically to have a drink with La’an Strange new worlds Season 3, episode 8, “Four and a half Vulcans”. Spock & La’an makes sense as a couple on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

La’An has spent her life facing the guilt of her survivor of her kidnapping of a childhood and his shame of her supervillain ancestor, Khan Noonian Singh (Ricardo Montalban). Spock is a half-human and a half-vicinity which has endured the cruelty and discrimination of other Vulcans since his youth, and he has not entered any of his hereditary worlds.
However, through the dance, Spock and the An have found a way to express their inner self. Dance has become their common language and their private form of intimacy. Christina Chong’s chemistry with Ethan Peck, although different from what she shares with Paul Wesley, is no less dynamic and brooding.
Kirk couldn’t be with La’an (but that doesn’t stop Spock)
Eventually, Star Trek: Strange new worlds understands that Lieutenant-commander James T. Kirk cannot be with Lieutenant La’an Noonien-Singh. James admitted to La’an that he could not continue their attraction because he was already in a “complicated” Relationship with a woman named Carol, who is pregnant.
It must be Dr. Carol Marcus, who is played by Bibi Besch and is the mother of Kirk’s son. David Marcus (Merritt butrick), in Star Trek II: Khan’s anger.
One might think that there is also the question of preservation Star Trek: the original series Canon since Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) is intended to meet and become blood enemies with the ancestor of La’an, Khan. However, Star Trek: Strange new worlds This seems more concerned to add context not revealed to Kirk’s animosity towards Khan.
The logic suggests that Spock should not romance La’an either given its role in the arrival of Khan aboard the Starship company in Star Trek: the original series‘”Space Seed.” Again Star Trek: Strange new worlds will distort the speed with Spock and La’an as a couple. La’an and Spock are undeniably sexy together, but I still want La’an and James T. Kirk could have continued their dance instead.
