Most music lovers who know the names Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are familiar with their work with Fleetwood Mac, although the two musicians are not original members of the pop rock group. The duo actually got their start under the name Buckingham Nicks, a moniker that has been largely lost to time except among rock aficionados and those who have closely followed their connected careers over the decades.

According to Luminate, this represents a 308% increase from the previous period, when 1,000 Americans purchased the Legacy.

These are incredibly impressive positions for a half-century-old title, especially one that wasn’t a critical or fan favorite during its initial promotional heyday.

While Nicks and Buckingham went on to have some of the most prestigious careers in rock music initially through Fleetwood Mac, the album remained out of print for many years, much to the dismay of those who fell in love with the artists and wanted to hear everything they recorded.

In July 2025, Nicks and Buckingham announced that Nicks of Buckingham was finally reissuedand the Americans were ready. The album moved 30,000 equivalent units on its first new follow-up image, and that proved enough to send the track to No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart. Nicks of Buckingham nearly conquered the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Vinyl Albums charts and narrowly failed to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200, where it peaked at #11.

Today, as holiday shopping trends grow and new copies of Nicks of Buckingham shipped to fans, it becomes a winner on the Billboard lists once again.
