Steve Tandy: Wales names the Scottish Defense coach as head coach

The decision to go for Tandy was supervised by the new director of WRU Reddin Reddin.
“Steve’s coach journey and the approach he adopted in his own learning and development since leaving the Ospreys impressed us during the interview process,” said Reddin.
“He embodies the collaborative and systematic approach to the success that I want to instill in our high performance system.
“Steve is an excellent coach with motivation and curiosity to continue to learn and develop part of its DNA. These are extremely important characteristics for everyone in our system.”
There have been no official news from whom will invent behind Tandy behind the scenes, but Wales will seek to recruit coaches that have been involved in the last two campaigns.
Cardiff’s head coach Sherratt is online to be an attack coach, while Harlequins Crover Scrum Adam Jones and Gloucester assistant, Rhys Thomas, are also envisaged for roles under Tandy.
Reddin has confirmed that Tandy would not only select the staff of his back room, but will be fully involved in this process and that they would do it together. “
“Steve is an essential element of the future success strategy in Welsh Rugby and I will make sure that he has space, time and support to achieve the potential of the exciting group of players he will have at his disposal,” said Reddin.
“It brings a rich experience, a unique understanding of Wales and young talents that we have at our disposal and a huge passion and desire to excel in the role.”
