Donald Trump’s current director of FEMA admitted this week that he was unaware that the hurricane season exists in the United States, which has very much prompted his qualifications immediately. This includes Stephen Colbert, who joked by saying that the situation is similar to the characteristic of not knowing his bread and his butter.
FEMA, which means Federal Emergency Management Agency, is indeed the agency in charge of rescue efforts after major crises, often linked to weather disasters – including hurricanes. Thus, learning that the acting chief David Richardson had no idea of the hurricanes season was disturbing for Colbert, to say the least.
“Not great. The Hurricane season is great for FEMA,” he said. “It would be like the chief of Hallmark Channel saying that they were unaware that we had Christmas, or the owners of bakeries of small town who abandoned the love of the name of Brenda Jingle.”
After the return of the admission of Richardson, the agency tried to claim that Richardson joked. Naturally, Colbert did not buy this, given the seriousness of Richardson with each public capacity.
“You could forgive Fema employees not always know when Richardson Le Joshing, because during his first full day as an acting administrator, he told the agency employees if one of them was trying to obstruct his agenda,” I am born on you “,” said Colbert.
