July 4 trips likely to break records: what to expect

The July 4 holidays approach quickly – and it will be busy.
According to the AAA, a record of 72.2 million people should travel at least 80 kilometers from the period of the fourth kilometer (from June 28 to July 6). It is 1.7 million people more than last year and 7 million more than in 2019, according to AAA.
Here is what you need to know before you go to the airport or take the highway:
Plane trip
The AAA provides that a record of 5.84 million passengers will fly at the national level during the holidays – a jump of 1.4% compared to last year.
The domestic plane ticket is on average $ 260 round trip – the lowest price in four years, according to Hopper. The international plane ticket is also down with round-trip tickets for Europe on average $ 840.

The TSA said that Sunday, July 6 will be the busiest day during its vacation period (Tuesday July 1 to Monday, July 7).
Thursday, July 3, will be the busiest day to leave for the holidays, according to Hopper and Expedia. Tuesday, July 8 will be the least busy and affordable day to go home, discovered Expedia.
United Airlines said that IT information projects on Friday June 27 and Thursday July 3 was its busiest days with around 580,000 passengers per day.
Expedia said her most popular destinations were Las Vegas; New York; Miami; Orlando, Florida; And Cancun, Mexico. Los Angeles and Seattle are also the best cities, according to Hopper.

Road trip
This year should be the busiest day of independence of all time on the roads. AAA projects 61.6 million people will travel by car – an increase of 2.2% compared to last year.
But good news for drivers: summer gas prices are the lowest they have been since 2021, according to AAA.
