Star player offered to the Champions League club

Crystal Palace could be ready to lose some of their most important players this summer, despite qualifying for the Europa League for next season. Ebelechi Eze and Adam Wharton were both linked to other Premier League clubs, and the star striker Jean-Philippe Mateta could also be in motion.
Mateta was fantastic since Oliver Glasner arrived in Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old scored 19 goals during the 2023-24 season, and he followed with 17 others in 2024-25.
And of course, this form has seen clubs interested in Mateta. Man United has it on their list for this summer, while a return to France has also been speculated.
Jean-Philippe Mateta offered a Crystal Palace outing route
As the Team (via Sport Witness) reported, Mateta was offered in Marseille, who wishes to sign a new striker before returning to the Champions League next season. It is not known if it is Crystal Palace or its representatives who made this stage, but given its importance to Selhurst Park, it was probably the latter.
Fortunately for Crystal Palace, Marseille refused the possibility of making a movement for Mateta. Although we think they are aroused, we believe that they would not be able to afford a summer agreement. As such, the side of Ligue 1 is now looking elsewhere.
Crystal Palace will be desperate to keep Mateta’s services this summer, especially since there is a good chance that Eze moves on. The appeal of football from the Europa League should convince him to stay in London for at least one more season, but it must be remembered that he is only under contract until 2027.
Consequently, movements on a new agreement will have to occur soon to guarantee that its future remains in Selhurst Park.
