After five years, Fortnite is back in the App Store

Five years ago, Apple withdrew Fortnite from the App Store and sparked a legal battle of several years which led to EU farming, threats to the United States and legal threats all over the world. After a few tumultuous weeks, Apple apparently gave in and approved Fortnite’s return to iPhones and iPads. You can download it via this link.
As we wrote on Tuesday, Apple’s attempt to refuse Fortnite’s return to the App Store was greeted by dismay after Epic appealed to the judge who made the decision who forced Apple to authorize the links to external payment stores. As such, Fortnite offers its V-Bucks as a chat in the application or via the Epic Games store, where you get 20% in rewards.

We do not know so Fortnite will remain in the App Store or if the return is a short -term turn in the current saga. After the Epic call, judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ordered the Apple manager “who is personally responsible for guaranteeing compliance” to appear personally during the hearing of May 27 in a reference barely dressed in a possible outrage in the court.
Apple also calls on the decision which forced it to allow links to external payment stores, it is therefore possible that Epic could be forced to remove the link to its own store, which would almost certainly start war. But for the moment, enjoy your next royal battle.
