Spreadex tips Arsenal to win Premier League and West Ham to relegation

Fancy Arsenal picking up a win and heading towards the Premier League title? Or maybe you think Sunderland will continue to defy pre-season predictions and survive in the top flight.
If you’re dead set on either of these scenarios, it’s worth checking out the latest points market on Spreadex.
TITLE WINNERS
Arsenal should go on and win the championship – and finally give Mikel Arteta a second major trophy – but with the lowest points total since Leicester City’s shock triumph in 2016.
The Gunners are priced between 81.5 and 83, which is enticing considering they already have 16 points after seven games. If they maintain this same pace, Arsenal will finish with around 87 points.
Liverpool won the crown with 84 points last season, but that seemed to be an exception.
The title winners ahead of Arne Slot’s team were:
2024 – Man City (91 points)
2023 – Man City (89 points)
2022 – Man City (93 points)
2021 – Man City (86 points)
2020 – Liverpool (99 points)
2019 – Man City (98 points)
2018 – Man City (100 points)
2017 – Chelsea (93 points)
2016 – Leicester City (81 points)
SpreadEx has Liverpool as second favorite with a spread of 77-78.5 points. The Merseysiders’ points average between 2016/17 and 2024/25 is 82.3.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PLACES
The race for places in the Champions League will be more intense than ever. We don’t yet know if the Premier League will get four or five places, or potentially six like in the 2025/26 campaign.
The usual suspects come at a price as you would expect, but Newcastle’s inclusion in fifth place is interesting given their slow start to the season.
Their point spread is 59-60.5 despite only accumulating nine in seven games so far.
Bournemouth have no desire to continue their impressive form.
RELEGATION FIGHT
Over the past two seasons, the three promoted clubs have gone straight down.
However, Spreadex is backing Leeds and Sunderland to reverse this trend. However, they are unconvinced by the Wearsiders’ form so far.
Sunderland, under the able leadership of Regis Le Bris, took 11 points from their opening seven games, but Spreadex rated them to finish with a score between 36.5 and 38. Sunderland look physically strong and well organized defensively, so there is certainly value there.
Leeds should do even better. Their form at Elland Road will be crucial to their survival hopes, with Spreadex confident they will score between 41 and 42.5 points.
That leaves Burnley, Wolves and West Ham as the fall guys.
It’s impossible to argue with the logic. Burnley appear to have learned little from previous failed attempts to stay up while Wolves are winless so far.
West Ham will probably fight better under Nuno Espirito Santo.
