Mac Jones finished Thursday evening with one of the most impressive QB performance of the year, but his night did not start so before.
Before leaving the Team hotel for the crucial division match on Thursday evening against the Rams in Los Angeles, Jones spotted a floating corpse in the water outside the team hotel in Marina Del Rey, California.
“That morning at Marina Del Rey’s Team Hotel, Jones told teammates that he was on his balcony when he looked at the water and saw a floating corpse,” athletics reported. “Someone called the police. As the 49ers loaded buses for the stadium, the players watched the investigators and even the van of a coroner stop in the marina.”
The Sheriff’s Department of the County of Los Angeles continues to investigate the incident.
If nothing else, Jones proved that he was not too superstitious. Despite the frightening observation, Jones kept his goal and led the 9ers to an excited victory in overtime against the Rams, while going 33-49 for 342 yards and two affected.
San Francisco is now 4-1 over the year and 3-0 in the division. Then the 49ers will face the Falcons Sunday evening footballOctober 12.
