Spanish Pedralonga unveils the immersive studio in Coruna

A cutting -edge technology, profitability and “unlimited creativity”. This is what Pedralonga Studios of Spain promised during a Lauch event for its new virtual production installation Coruña immersive studio (CEI) on the third day of the fifth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid, Spain.

It is equipped with “advanced immersive technology capable of recreating hyper-realistic environments which lead both the national and international media industry”, according to press documents.
Under the title “Innovation and efficiency: Discover The Future of Content Production”, the event, assisted by representatives of the Spanish industry and foreign countries, presented comments from José Manuel Deus, Director General of Pedralonga Estudios, Rosa Ana García, member of the Comté for Industry, Companies, Environment, Employment and Demographic Policy for Coruña, Miguel Ovejer State Secretariat for digitization and artificial intelligence (SEDIA), and Alfonso Blanco, president of the Galician audiovisual cluster (CLAG).

“It should make its mark on the production of Spanish media thanks to its advanced technological infrastructure,” promises information equipment on the new installation. “Among its main attractions is a virtual studio of 750 square meters equipped with a semicircular LED wall measuring 28 meters wide by 6 meters high and offering a 4K resolution with a definition of height of 1.9 pixel, which optimizes costs and widens the creative possibilities for national and international productions.”
The development of the installation involved an investment of “almost 9.0 million euros ($ 10.6 million)”, supported by the Spanish government through the EU funds for the next generation and others. The complex is managed by Pedralonga Estudios, which was launched in 2024 and brings together Clag, the University of a Coruña and a group of 10 main Galician media companies.

“Pedralonga Estudios and Cei complete a perfect cocktail that positions Galicia as an ideal shooting destination”, offering other attractions such as more than 30 years of experience, its international renowned production companies, its first -rate team and its talents, its unrivaled attraction and public subsidies that facilitate co -production and encouragement of cinematographic shooting, said Blanco.
