Southwest Airlines announces WiFi for free on all flights

With this partnership, Southwest will be the largest American airline to offer free wifi on each plane.
Dallas – Southwest Airlines and T -Mobile will soon offer free WiFi to all rapid members of the awards at each flight, the airline announced.
With this partnership, Southwest will be the largest American airline to offer free wifi on each plane. The service will be available for all Rapid Rewards members, the airline loyalty program, which is free.
Unlimited WiFi will be available from October 24, according to a T-Mobile press release.
“We focus on the guarantee that our customers have a great experience from the moment they reserve a flight to their destination,” said Tony Roach, executive vice-president, chief client and brand manager at Southwest Airlines. “We are delighted to associate ourselves with T-Mobile to bring free wifi to all the fast members of the awards.
T-Mobile has offered free flight wifi to its customers since 2014, according to the press release. Southwest recently successfully tested the Fleetwide Fleet WiFi for the rapid members of the awards and the results showed a solid customer satisfaction score, the press release said.
“We are delighted that the rapid members of the rewards are experiencing free wifi from offsetting at landing at landing – no strings, no surprise,” said Mike Katz, president of marketing, strategy and products at T -Mobile. “It’s just one more way to make travel a little more fluid.”
Southwest recently underwent a political overhaul, including the end of its bags to fly a free policy and open seats. WFAA follows each major change here.
