Sources – Mavericks closed Cooper Flagg for the rest of the summer league

The Dallas Mavericks close Cooper Flagg for the rest of the NBA Summer League, sources have confirmed to Tim Macmahon d’Espn, ending Las Vegas of the recruit star after only two games.

The MAVS chose to close Flagg after choice No. 1 scored 31 points during the Saturday match against choice No. 2 Dylan Harper and the San Antonio Spurs.

Flagg drew 10 for 21 from the ground in a rebound performance of his summer debut in the Los Angeles Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, when he fought for only 10 points on the 5 out of 21 shot.

“I think it’s a new environment, a new framework,” said Flagg after the 76-69 Saturday defeat against San Antonio. “They want to see me aggressive and do this type of thing.

“I think I did it much better today, to get to the line, to hurt myself, and that helped me put myself at ease and to settle down early.

Mavericks’ summer league coach Josh Broghamer said Flagg “continues to make the right games” and praised the 6 -inch recruit for his work “Off The Ball” during the match on Saturday.

The MAVS decision to close Flagg was reported for the first time on Sunday by the NBA veteran journalist Marc Stein.
