The father of Lamine Yamal criticized the decision to give the Ballon d’Or to Ousmane Dembele rather than his son, saying that “something very strange has happened here”.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker Dembele received the trophy last night after a wonderful year in which he helped his club win the double servant and his first trophy in the Champions League.

“I think Lamine Yamal is by far the best player in the world. Not because he is my son but because he is the best player in the world, I think there are no rivals.
“Blade is Lamine Yamal. We must say that something very strange has happened here.
“Next year, the Ballon d’Or will be Spanish.”
Yamal keeps the Kopa trophy
Yamal had previously been appointed winner of the Kopa trophy, recognizing the best player in the world under the age of 21, for the second year on the trotting.
The 18-year-old was phenomenal to help Barça secure doubles and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they have narrowly lost against Inter in an additional time of a remarkable draw.
Indeed, Yamal scored 18 goals all competitions and provided 21 assists when he brought his game to another level after his revolutionary campaign of 2023-24.
