Some countries reopen the airspace for civil traffic
After waves of climbing attacks between Israel and Iran, several countries in the Middle East reopened their airspace towards civilian flights on Saturday.
Jordan resumed civil aviation operations at 7:30 am (0430 GMT), according to the Petra state news agency.
Lebanon followed at 10 a.m., while the state agency of Syria Sana also announced the reopening of its airspace earlier during the day.
Meanwhile, Iraq extended its suspension of civilian flights until the beginning of the afternoon.
The restrictions responded to an unprecedented escalation in hostilities, launched by Israeli air strikes targeting Iranian nuclear installations, military leaders and the best scientist early on Friday.
In response, Iran has launched waves of ballistic missiles and drone attacks.
The two parties reported victims.
Despite an increasing international pressure for de -escalation, none seems willing to step back from the conflict when he enters his second day.
