THE Saturday Night Live The first in season 51 tackles the controversy JK Rowling in a weekend update sketch with Bowen Yang like Dobby The House Elf. Rowling generated significant controversy because of her position on transgender rights, which she recently governed with her response to the comments made by Harry Potter Star Emma Watson.
In the sketch, the host of the weekend update Michael Che welcomes Dobby (Yang) on the show, with the Elfe house sharing that his master wanted him to come on live television “Define once and for all what a woman is.” When the Dobby master turns out to be JK Rowling, he begins to fight his head on the desk to punish himself, because he was not supposed to reveal this information.
The Yang costume partially slips during this song, and the star said, “Dobby’s come upset” to the remark. Dobby later claims that Rowling is the real victim for receiving hate mail, including a t-shirt that says “They K. Rowling.” This leads the weekend update, Colin Jost, to emphasize that since Rowling gave Dobby the shirt, he is now free. Discover the sketch below:

Saturday Night Live continues to be topical and fearless of fighting controversy with his point of view on JK Rowling. She has denounced the rights of transgender people for several years now, but even before, there was already a speech on Harry PotterThe intrigues of the Elf Division House, in particular the way SPEW were presented in the fourth novel.
The sketch mainly aims to provide comments on Rowling by continuing to double anti-trans rhetoric.
