Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, was praise for the central defender of Crystal Palace Marc Guehi – a player that the Reds notably failed to sign during the summer.
The English international came so close to moving to Anfield late in the transfer window, with reliable points of sale such as sport reporting that an agreement had been concluded.
However, this took place late and Liverpool must now regret that even more, with an underestimated machine confirming the injury of Giovanni Leoni earlier this morning.
This leaves the reds less in the back, and this will be the reason why they were so interested in someone like Guehi first.
Instead, Liverpool will play against the 25 -year -old player when they face Crystal Palace in Selhurst Park at their premier League meeting tomorrow.

Perhaps understandable, the Dutch tactician was not too eager to speak of LFC missing Guehi, but it is clear that he always evaluates the player.
Slot focused on the palace as a whole, with the side of Oliver Glasner in a fantastic form for the moment, having remained undefeated in their last 17 games.
Guehi was a large part with his solid defensive displays for Palace, and there will surely be a lot of Liverpool fans to watch this weekend and wonder what could have been if he could have moved to Anfield above the line in summer.
